3EW and 5HA had the pleaseure of walking to the Clarence Regional Library to listen to the author Francis Watts talk about how she became an author. Miss Watts spoke to the students about how she did not grow up believing or wanting to be an author, and that in later life she happened to 'grow' into the profession that she enjoys thoroughly. The students enjoyed listening to Miss Watts read parts of her stories and were keen to answer questions as well as ask questions.

Book Character Parade 2011
A great time was had by all staff, students and parents. Thankyou to all parents , students and staff who took the time to create their costumes and enjoy themselves at this fun event. The first download of photos are available at Book Character Parade 11.
All students participated in National 'Read On' either in the library at Book Fair, in their classroom or in the playground. What a great way to finish Book Week at Grafton Public School.
