Cameron Stelzer, 2010

The 'look' of the library is changing. Students are enjoying using the ottomans during reading time. Henry the duck, Fred the frog and Cookie monster are cuddled, played with and spoken to an a daily basis by a large age range of students. To arrive this term will be a fold out notice board, to display students work, and angled book shelves with coloured ends. The library will be begin to take on a different look. Also to arrive will be a DVD book stand to display the range of 'talking books' that Yr 2 & 3 students may borrow. As these special books contain a CD/DVD, students who have a good borrowing record and can demonstrate skills to care for these books will be permitted to borrow them for a one week period.

All students will be given the opportunity to meet and work with children's author Cameron Stelzer. Cameron is the author of the 'Stroogle' adventure series. Students will be introduced to 'Stroogle' during the term. Cameron will be conducting a creative drawing lesson and story time activities with students throughout Tuesday and Wednesday September 14 & 15. He is an energetic and creative presenter that all students will enjoy participating in the activity.

Yr 5 & Yr 6 students enjoyed the illustration activities that they did with Cameron.
